Bio

Hello, my name is Monique Spurgeon. I'm a Georgia native who grew up in Soperton, GA and Dublin, GA. I've been married for 25 years and have one daughter.

I graduated from East Laurens High School, East Dublin, GA. My education was continued at Fort Valley State University where I earned a bachelor's degree in Infant and Child Development. I am a proud alumnus. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in Infant and Child Development, I earned a master's degree in Early Childhood Education and an add-on master's degree in Guidance Counseling. Also, I hold a specialist's degree in Curriculum Instruction/Administration from Nova Southeastern University.

My career started as a 3rd grade teacher in Crawford County School District. After a few years, I joined the Houston County School District as a 3rd grade teacher and later transitioned to a 4th grade teacher at Miller Elementary School. In 2006, I joined the Northside Middle School family as a school counselor. I continue to serve as school counselor at Northside Middle School.

I enjoy reading, shopping, spending time with family, and traveling. It is a joy and pleasure to work with the faculty, staff, and students at Northside Middle School.
