Hello! I’m Alicia Boarts and I am excited to have taught at Northside Middle since 2020.  I have lived all over the world including the Philippines, West Africa and Japan. I graduated from Concordia University in Austin, Texas in 1997.  In 2019, I completed my Masters Degree in Reading Intervention.  I strongly believe learning Social Studies includes much more than content memorization. Therefore, it is my goal to increase my students' reading comprehension in social studies to help them learn the information.  We will have a great year filled with adventure and exploration! My husband has recently retired from the Air Force. We have three boys, two of whom are in college.  My youngest is a Senior in high school.
