Bio
I
am a Georgia native and have lived in Warner Robins most of my life. I am a
product of the Houston County School system. Go NHS Eagles!
My college education began at Middle Georgia where I received an AA in psychology. I then transferred to Georgia College and State
University where I received my BBAs in Marketing and Management. A few years later I entered the graduate education program at Mercer University and received my MEd in middle grades education. The following year I returned to Mercer and completed my EdS.
I have been teaching in Houston County for over 25 years. I started my teaching career at Tabor Middle (now Thomson). I taught math for many years there. Later I taught math and science at Bonaire Middle. I chose to move to elementary education once my own children started school. I taught at Eagle Springs Elementary for 13 years as a 5th grade, 3rd grade, and FOCUS gifted teacher of all grades. As a FOCUS teacher I also taught an additional gifted class one day a week at a second school. After the last of my children completed elementary I made the move back to my first love, teaching middle school.
I am married to a fellow educator. My husband has taught in Houston County for over 25 years in elementary, middle, and high school. We have six children and two dogs. My family
has been involved in many programs in the school system including honors/AP,
agriculture and livestock, theater, art, and marching band. I am an avid
reader and enjoy playing with my dogs and traveling to new places with my
family.
