Hello Jet Family, 

I am Mikayla Golden and begin my teaching career in Muscogee County in 2021. I taught 6th and 7th grade science at Eddy Middle School before coming back home. I grew up in Perry, GA and graduated from Houston County High School in 2018. It is an honor to serve, teach and love the students of my former community. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education Math and Science from Columbus State University in 2021. I am currently continuing my education at Columbus State University to achieve my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.

I chose education so that I can be a positive influence and push ALL my students to their full potential. My students will know that is MATH is all about making mistakes to allow thinking to happen.  I want to teach my students they can be anything that want to be as long as they keep their minds to it. TOGETHER we will GROW to reach our fullest POTENTIAL!
