Hello!! I am Shawna Rogers and I began my teaching career in 2018. I taught 6th grade science (gifted and regular education) and 8th grade science at Academy of Classical Education before coming to the Northside Middle family to teach. Here I have taught 7th grade math (2 years) and 7th grade science (5 years). I grew up in Warner Robins, GA and graduated from Veterans High School in 2013. I graduated with Bachelors degree in Secondary Education from Valdosta State University in 2017 and my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in 2023. I am continuing my education at Valdosta State University to achieve my Specialists in Teacher Leadership. This year I will be teaching 7th grade Life Science on the Thunderbirds Team and look forward to a great year. 

Teaching young minds is my true passion and making learning engaging and fun is a priority in my classroom. In my free time I enjoy traveling, bingeing the latest tv shows, or working on various interior design projects. I got married to my husband (Tevyn) in 2021 and we have a playful fur baby named Kash. He's 9 year old german shepherd, golden retriever, lab mix and he keeps use on our toes.
